Had a great few days testing our new ‘sensor cup’ in Scotland. The sensor cup is a standard pigging disk embedded with a number of sensors that allows for inspection of the pipeline. This is the first time that a full NDT inspection with eddy current sensors can be carried out with a standard PU pigging disk. Data on internal corrosion, cracking and P V T can all be from the PU disk. This style disk can be attached to any utility pig or even another inspection pig if required.
We will be running this new system in an operational pipeline in Australia next month.
